myitlab Installation for CNIT 100 Spring 2010 Sec 011 Friday 9:00-12:00 class

     I.            Create your myitlab (Pegasus) new user login

                              1.            IMPORTANT:  Use your Student ID(Not SSN#) as your login name.  If you do not use your Student ID, your grades won't transfer!   Be sure to type it in correctly, using the correct capital letter (W, X, or C,  and then 8 numbers.)

                              2.            Use your browser(doesn’t work with Firefox) to go to  www.myitlab.com - then click on the First Time Users, Student button.  After you create your account, use the button for existing accounts.

                              3.            Choose "New User" on the next screen.  Scroll down.

                              4.            Type in the very long Access Code from your Student Access Kit - you purchased this at the CCSF bookstore.  This is your license to use the MyITLab website.  You have to purchase this code.  Each student must have his/her own code, it cannot be shared.  This is not the COURSE ID - it's a very long number in your Access Kit!

                              5.             CCSF area code is 94112.  Choose the "United States"  from the country drop-down list.  Then click the <next> button.

                              6.            In the next screen, you'll need a valid email address, because you will receive a confirmation e-mail there.  Also enter your correct name, and choose City College of San Francisco from the school list.

                              7.            You will also create your login name and password.  Don't forget to use your Student ID(Not SSN#) -- be very careful to type it in correctly.  And, remember your password!  Write it down somewhere safe.

                              8.            Choose a Security question.  You'll have to remember the answer, because if you forget your password, you will need to know the exact same answer.

                              9.            Enter other information as requested, and then when you click <next> you will be registered for MyITLab, which takes a few moments.

                          10.            After you confirm the information is correct, click <Log in now>

                          11.            A complete description of this process is here, and also at the bottom of our class homepage.  Student Getting Started Guide.pdf
